Reflection
Throughout this assignment, I gained a lot in terms of knowledge and also physical mindset. At the beginning of this assignment, I was quite lost as i couldn't seem to get my direction right. I encountered a few problems while designing  a space for kids and at the first try, the proposed design was nothing related to kids as it looks too dark and gloomy. When i started to play around with colors, everything just seems wrong. It looks like plastic and a cheap toy house. When i started to do some research about kids interior, I slowly realized that kids interior can be designed with minimal amount of colours but still remain exciting with the implementation of playful and quirky elements. I started to look at Nordic interior and made some reference into their usage of colors as well as materials but transforming them into a more playful approach with the usage of curves and diagonal lines. The combination of diagonal and curvy element smooth out the edges and rigidness of a space while it also provides safety and playful interior for the kids to stay. As much as i understand further about the implementation of various design elements regarding to kids interior under the guidance the lecturers, I also learned how to bring in a balance between a space used by both kids and adults and was trying hard to achieve an optimum ergonomics for both category of users. While having difficulties applying my idea into the interior space, I encounter a dilemma on the significance of my design and was having the thought that my design was bad to an extend that I started to hate my own design. As I was doubting myself about my working abilities, my friends and lecturers started to give me confidence and  suggestions. With the help and guidance from the lecturers and few of my classmates, I was able to at least produce a work with a acceptable outcome. I realized that confidence and trust in my own design ideas and implementation are important as if I don't even like my own design, no one else will appreciate it too as I dun appreciate it myself.

PROJECT 2B: SITE ANALYSIS

Location: GreyHouse, Bangsar

Site analysis was a class assignment and it is divided into 2 phases. The first phase was to obtain site measurement, collect site information and context and also research its potential and opportunity. The class was divided into 3 being the site measurement group, SWOT group and Site analysis group. I was in the site measurement group which i was assigned to measure the exterior along with a few of my classmates and the measurement was given to the Drawing group during the 2nd phase.

For the 2nd phase of this assignment, I chose to be in the model making group and we manage to complete the model in 3 days while everyone was working together well and when there are some errors building the model due to measurement problem but together we solved the issue quick and are able to finish this assignment on time.

IDP III PROJECT 2A: PROMOTIONAL QIOSK

As a continuation from the previous assignment, we were to design a promotional booth to promote our curative services which includes the consideration of branding and booth functionality. It includes proposing a site and activites for the promotional event along with the CIS items to further explains and offer the services provided in our curative retreat.

Reflection

At the very beginning of this assignment, we were struggling on giving the booth its functionality as well as its portable and lightweight structure that we are not giving enough attention to its target user and booth capacity. As we were highlighting visual food workshop as our main services, the initial idea for the booth serves a function to provide a tryout of the program but however, we didn't consider about the natural behavior of kids and changed our idea into an interactive booth with a playful and attractive appearance to increase the chances of visitors and also maximize the booth functionality along with its sustainable and lightweight properties. This assignment was eye opening and also a great experience as I further realized that a design no matter a space, products or even graphics need to be considered from the point of the end user aesthetic value as to push its limits and potential to bring out or create a great design. Through these 2 group assignments, I also appreciated the efforts of each and every group members as all of us had been putting in our greatest efforts and commitment and everyone was a great team-player, throwing in effort to ensure that the progress area as smooth as possible.

IDP III PROJECT 1: RESEARCH FINDINGS - CU RATIVE SERVICE

The first assignment was an exploration on a given curative services in a group of 4 to produce a 2 minutes video presentation based on our research findings and understanding while proposing a brief direction on our design programme. Our group were to research on dietary curative services and we somehow touched the topic about the consumption of dietary supplements and the importance of practicing a balance and healthy lifestyle since early years with the tagline "For a better Future".

Reflection

This assignment was the starting point of every other following assignment and it is very crucial to understand a subject matter well enough to be able to design a space which provides the services and comfort to the users while ensuring its functionality. This assignment cause a confusion at the very beginning as we focus too much on dietary supplements and not how it is reflected into curative services and the general dietary services but everything was settled with each and everyone's effort in the group. We are able to analyze, and provide an overview of the topic itself with a great teamwork.

Photography - Final Assignment

The beauty of interior design is its insensible connection with the user. Personally, I admire interior spaces with a combination of raw and modern design with a minimal approach applied with playful elements such as quirky wall and furniture design with a slight pop of colors in a monotonous background. While this space looks energetic and lively with all the playful design, the monotonous background give away a calm and peaceful feeling.

As a 16- year old teenage girl, my model portrays an independent and mature female carrying an energetic and positive vibe. Someone who would love to spend time by herself like reading a book or travelling alone, and is capable to bring herself out to the community and friends. More like an independent teenager with developed thinking but still remains its innocence and the honesty in emotions.
